Paul Clement
Paul's day to role includes: Strategic oversight via my Chairmanship of the Tyneside Group Board. I see the Chair’s role as focussing upon the development and maintenance of da commonly shared strategic plan, ensuring progress towards the Plan’s objectives, and not treading on the toes of the operational team.
Proudest work moment: I gain constant delight at seeing the business develop, trying new things and growing stronger as it does so.
Best part of working for Tyneside Group: There is great satisfaction in seeing us bring important, if largely redundant city centre buildings, back to life
Quirk: My kids include a Doctor (eldest girl and the PhD, rather than the medical, type!), a footballer (middle girl), a chef (boy) and a yet-to-decide school student (youngest girl) which persuades me that none of them see my chosen career path as a way to go, and I might have been best to stick with my original plans of becoming a geography teacher by day and a radio presenter by night
